Classroom Assistants

Having participated in the educational experience as a classroom clinical assistant, the most experienced faculty at NIM honor the commitment that some graduates give to their own education by volunteering in the massage classroom. We know from experience that teaching, guiding, communicating the art to those less educated brings clarity and focus to our own work. We understand that working with, mentoring others to gain the technical and physical skills inherent in our art enhances our own. Being a classroom clinical assistant reconnects you with the content you learned while in school while extending your knowledge.

To provide current students with extra assistance in all hands on classes, NIM hires graduates of our program to assist faculty with a variety of tasks that make our classes run smoothly. Teaching assistanceship is often a step toward becoming a faculty member.

Teaching assistants work under the tutelage of a primary teacher, and are required to support the plotting and execution of the class as well as to work one to one with students during their practicum.
