As experts in providing massage therapy career information, we offer clear, honest answers to your questions. We have years of experience guiding students through the admissions process. Our goal is to help you decide if a career in massage therapy is right for you and to help you decide if NIM is the right school for your educational needs.

Requirements for Admission to the intensive professional training programs at NIM:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Complete the Admissions Interview Process successfully.
  • Provide certification of good health and be free of any condition that would prohibit giving or receiving massage therapy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding, speaking, and writing the English language.

Criteria for Acceptance into the Program

  • Aptitude for working with the body
  • Ability to apply theory to practice
  • Commitment and ability to work with people in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, to undertake self-directed work, and to exercise good judgment.

Admissions Process

  1. Contact the Admissions Department to request information. Contact Admissions We are here to help you. Call us with your questions, to set up an interview, or to tour the school.
  2. For many prospective students, deciding on the right school is a difficult decision. To experience NIM “firsthand” and to explore massage therapy as a career, we invite you to attend our Information Session.
  3. Submit an application for enrollment. You will receive the application in the program materials. Call to set up an interview appointment, and submit your completed application at your Admissions Interview.
  4. Complete the Admissions Interview Process.
  5. Upon acceptance, complete financial planning arrangements, which include applying for financial aid for those who qualify. Students applying for financial aid must attend a Financial Aid Interview.
